Welcome to the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory Microbial Ecology Laboratory portal. This site is currently under construction and will contain links to resources, publications and data from the different projects currently in progress in the Laboratory The Microbial Ecology Laboratory is one among many in the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory, a Marine Research Facility of the Universisty of Maryland Center for Enviromental Science.
Our main focus of study are microorganims and their roles in the function and health of ecosystems, in particular aquatic systems ones.
Most of the research employs molecular and genomic techniques, and thus we have state of the art facilities and intrumentations to faciliate this research. |
